One of my first yoga classes I had ever attended was one of Bethany’s signature power hour classes at CPY on a very rainy day over two years ago. The theme she emphasized that day was based around advice her grandmother had given her: always use a bright umbrella so you even have sunshine on a rainy day. This piece of advice has always stuck with me because this was a very difficult time in my personal life and that small anecdote went such a long way. It gave me strength to address my problems in a healthy way and after just one of Bethany’s classes I instantly felt calm in my life. Ever since then, I’ve been attending Bethany’s classes weekly. Over time, I had gotten to know her and not only did she make me stronger physically but mentally and emotionally. She has an incredible way of perfectly combining physical and mental health simply by connecting yoga and breath. She is truly gifted in what she does and has the power to relate to her students. She focuses hard to feel the what the people in her classroom need so that it’s almost as if she is reading your mind. Practicing yoga has changed my life forever and being able to practice with Bethany has been a pleasure and a blessing.
